Open Education Global (OEGlobal) announced 20 October, 2022,the winners of the Open Education Awards for Excellence for 2022.
Open Education is a human movement that thrives on the shoulders of extraordinary people who make it possible, which is only possible due to the work and passion of extraordinary people. Each year, Open Education Global is honored to recognize such individuals with the Open Education Awards for Excellence. The Individual Awards are special awards given to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of openness in education. These awards recognize achievements in four main categories: Leadership, Educator, Emerging Leader, and Support Specialist.

OEGlobal is pleased to congratulate the fifteen winners of the Open Education Awards for Excellence in 15 categories for 2022. In addition to the usual 13 categories, in 2022 we will recognize entries in two special categories: 1) the Open Resilience Award, which recognizes and celebrates efforts to overcome adversity, turn around quickly, and thrive in the face of unprecedented challenges or crises, and 2) the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award, which spotlights efforts to create diverse, inclusive, and equitable opportunities in learning environments.
The 12-member Open Education Awards committee, comprised of educators and open education advocates from around the world, reviewed the 89 nominations from 22 countries.
Every year, Open Education Global is honored to recognize these individuals in the Open Education Awards for Excellence.
